about the guitar. it's an Ibanez Jem7V (white). for those who don't know (which is unlikely), its just the "Steve Vai guitar". u can use any image search, i bet you'll be able to find it. it has a super thin neck, dimarzio evolution pickups which are really high power. as a whole, the guitar looks good, sounds good, plays good. the Jem is truely a gem... if you want details, go to the Ibanez website and find out yourself. http://www.ibanez.com/eg/guitar.aspx?m=JEM7V

ok, 1st i'll tell u a horror story in a sentence.

"I CHECKED IN THE GUITAR!!!!"

this is the pic with all the labels and stuff... specially requested to both sides to have the 'fragile' sticker, and to give the gutiar a priority. so it went with the business class. ended up the guitar even took a better class than me! ok... some precautions were taken. the strings were loosened to the max, til the bridge went the other way down. my mum lent me her scarf to give extra padding. stuff all the left over hotel tissue inside also. good thing the case is good as in like shape is just nice fitting for an Ibanez RG guitar shape. so not much movement.

when the case came in, it was freakin' wet!!! wet not because of raining/spilt water/whatsoever. it was condensation. when it got home, open the case, the gutiar was so cold water started condensing on it. it literally looked as if the guitar was sweating. used cloths and tissues to wipe it, den later blow dry. didn't dare play it then cos i don't know how much of the inside is wet. i didn't want to risk frying it on the 1st day. anyway, i got to get busy updating myself and getting along with camp stuff.

fast foward. next day i gave the guitar a full set up. action, strings were still good so no change needed. anyway, don't know what i need to do if i change the string guage... like do i need to adjust what/add or remove tremolo springs/etcetc... so this guitar is using a 9-42 set.

before that, i also just change the strings for my number 1. cos they got rusty. once again, i wud like to say that i don't drink... cos the beer was a gift from a friend.

Some pictures of the Jem after the setup and stuff. to me, it looks alot alot better in real life. enjoy.

Next day, confirmed with Samuel, Sam and Lester we were going swee lee. apparently they were eyeing stuff too... see what i mean?

Sam got a Squier by Fender telecaster, and Samuel got a Cort electric guitar. both got Laney amps. after they were done after like almost 3 hrs, we went for lunch den my place. did a string change and set up for them as well.

haha.. look at the amps here. we had a small jam.
